About Lane McConnell, LMFT

My Journey to Therapy

Background in Communications
I embarked on my professional journey with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, spending 15 years working for media companies and ad agencies.
Transition to Psychology

In 2008, I became officially licensed as a marriage and family therapist (LMFT).
Before starting my full time private practice, I worked for three non-profits over the course of ten years focusing on three distinct populations:

  • substance using clients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • children, adolescents, and families
  • men who identify as gay, bisexual, queer or Trans.

Since 2018, I have been providing exclusive telehealth therapy throughout California, working with adults, adolescents, and couples. I have extensive experience working with clients who have a variety of challenges including but not limited to anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADD, grief & loss, relationship issues, and substance use and addiction.

 Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's in Clinical Psychology, 2005, New College of CA, San Francisco, CA
  • License: Licensed by the CA Board of Behavioral Sciences, LICENSE #46272
